Alocasia thrive in dappled, bright but indirect light, similar to what would be found close to the ground in tropical jungles. Growing from bulb-like roots, they store quite a bit a water, and thus only require water roughly once every two weeks. They can have a bit of trouble processing chemicals found in tap water, so for an extra happy Alocasia, water with distilled water!
